چکیده

The use of Bubble Deck in modern prefabricated construction methods has recently become widespread industrial projects worldwide. In the middle a typical slab, places hollow plastic balls that do not improve structural performance but significantly reduce weight. This study analyzes behavior self-uniting bidirectional concrete slabs with spherical voids under high temperatures and for different periods. Six simply supported plates, five which contained bubbles one solid, were numerically tested using finite element method commercial ABAQUS software to investigate plates fired at various amounts time. Each slab following measurements: (1500*1500*150) mm. These (600 800) °C periods (one two hours). classified into four groups depending on kind (solid or bubble), degree burning °C, duration loading strength was found be up 65% less than maximum capacity bubbled temperatures. length firing time also had significant effect reducing concrete. longer period, lower load resistance ball would melt scorch an intense, protracted fire without noticeable effects. ability steel maintain adequate during fire, when it will burned lose as temperature rises, determines slab’s withstand fire. deck produce between 17% 39% stronger thermal equivalent solid same depth, even though they are intended provide insulation due encapsulation air within center slab.

Investigation of structural behaviour of GFRP reinforced concrete deck slabs through NLFEA

This paper presents a numerical study of the structural behaviour of concrete bridge deck slabs under static patch loads and dynamic traffic loads and an investigation of compressive membrane action (CMA) inside slabs. Those deck slabs were reinforced with Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) bars. Non-linear finite element analysis (NLFEA) models were established using ABAQUS 6.10 software pa...

Behaviour of fibre reinforced concrete slabs

This paper presents a comparison of the properties of concrete slabs when two types of fibres are added. One specimen had no fibres and acted as a control specimen. The remaining four specimens had steel and polypropylene fibres added in the volumetric ratio of 0.5% and 1.0%. The dimensions of the slab specimens were 820×820×80 mm and were supported by four rollers at their edges. A displacemen...

Numerical Simulation of the Reinforced Concrete Barrier Destruction at Impact

Submit Manuscript | http://medcraveonline.com interaction of airplane body with the shell has been replaced by impulse. Such approach is justified when initial stage of interaction is described, taking that concrete structure contacts quite thin aluminum body (from 3 to 8 mm thick). In this case one does not need to calculate contact boundaries thus simplifying significantly the objective and e...

Modeling of a reinforced concrete beam subjected to impact vibration using ABAQUS

A 3D finite element (FE) analysis technique using ABAQUS is chosen to explore the dynamic behavior of a beam under impact load. A beam, for which the impact dynamic test was conducted by Kishi (2004), is selected to develop a solid element FE model. FE analyses were performed implementing ABAQUS Explicit (2004) programming tool to predict the dynamic responses under the pressure amplitude intro...
